Kelly Carpet Mills, the largest carpet manufacturer in the universe, has a networks configured based on the schema below. Each location consists of one LAN and each router connects to the other over WAN serial links. The Limerick and Dundalk routers are completely configured and in full working order. The Galway router is completely configured except for the routing protocol. Configure the network statements to cover the complete range of available host addresses in each subnet on the Galway Router.
The routers have been configured with the following specifications:
The routers are named Galway, Limerick and Dundalk. |

Inside Tips: This question is very precise - you do not need to access any router other than Galway.
Write down the configs for Galway along with a brief outline of the question before you attempt to do anything. The trick here is understanding subnetting for classless protocols. Do you understand slash notation (/24, /30) and how to convert them to a subnet mask? When done - how is the subnet mask applied to the particular protocol? Priority IDs? Areas? Wildcards? If you are clueless - it's time to hit the books before tackling this Lab. Study classless routing protocols. Remember that "show running-config" is your friend and as always - save your work - "copy running-config startup-config". There are several "show" commands that will help you verify your work without using "show running-config". However, I took the short-cut again that works for most labs. The schematic may come in many forms but essentially focus on the networks attached to the router that requires maintenance. |
