The logic behind binary conversion is pretty straightforward.

There are two states: 0 or 1 - off or on.

The numbers are multiplied on the Vertical - then added on the Horizontal. The sum is the decimal equivalent to the 8-Bit binary number.

The low = "0" - the high = "255" for a total of 256 possible values.
