"Leave the beaten track occasionally and dive into the woods. Every time you do so you will be certain to find something that you have never seen before. Follow it up, explore all around it, and before you know it, you will have something worth thinking about to occupy your mind. All really big discoveries are the results of thought." Alexander Graham Bell The original Celtic Rover |

Welcome to the The Bright Spark's Internetworking Gateway (BSIG) - 640-801 CCNA Gateway. Hopefully, you will find this site useful as a CCNA 640-801 study supplement to the books and various media types required to pass the exam. Please be aware that your most useful resources are a plain old-fashion notebook, pencil, and high-lighter. Write down what you do NOT know - rather than what you do know as you progress through the various modules of this website. Your ultimate goal is to decrease a couple of hundred pages of notes down to 5 or 6 lines of uncertainty. Otherwise, do NOT show up to take the exam. You will be wasting your time and money.
Remember, if it is your goal to re-certify -- the ICND 640-811 Exam is sufficient. However, you probably should study both the 821 and the 811 just to be safe. Also, be aware that "brains" or "smarts" have little or nothing to do with internetworking. Today's workplace is all about good communication and problem-solving skills. You might possess a CCNA, CCNP and even a CCIE but I can tell you this -- while these qualifications are good to have tucked away under your belt -- they come way behind how you communicate and work with others and how you react to unrelenting stress and pressure. Moronic and infantile behavior is not tolerated in the workplace, period. Network Engineer or Witless Wonder? Your choice..... 'Nuff said! |
